RENOTEC® Protective Roof Coating
Kingdom Coatings uses RENOTEC® roof coating to make roofs self-cleaning and water repellent and to help prevent long-term surface erosion. RENOTEC® was engineered in Germany to help roofs perform better, and resist weather damage caused by rain, frost and sun. It is based on a special organic 100% acrylic formula (free of APEO) and contains specially selected pigments so you can choose the colour of your ‘new’ roof!
Our RENOTEC® Roof Coating Process
The process of protecting your roof is more than simply spraying a coating onto your roof – that is only one part of our extensive restoration process of cleaning, repairing and preserving your roof.
STEP 1: PREPARATION
The first step actually has nothing to do with your roof! Before we do anything else, we put down covers to protect your plants, paths, garden furniture and anything else which could be damaged in the cleaning process. We also cap your downpipes to ensure that they do not become blocked as we clear the debris from your roof.
STEP 2: PRESSURE CLEANING YOUR ROOF
Your existing tiles and ridges will be thoroughly cleaned using our pressure equipment to remove all moss, lichen, algae and any dirt that is covering the roof surface. We also clean the guttering and fascias. All of the debris that is removed from the roof is bagged up and removed from your property before our team begins work so that they start with a perfectly clean work environment to ensure the best possible result for your home.
STEP 3: ROOF MAINTENANCE AND RESTORATION
Your Kingdom Coatings roof team will then carry out our full restoration service on your roof. We are going to apply a coating to preserve your roof, so we work hard to make sure that it is in great condition before we start.
We dig out loose and cracked mortar between ridges and hip tiles, then repoint them with reinforced mortar. Any broken, cracked or damaged tiles on your roof are also replaced
STEP 4: FUNGICIDAL TREATMENT
Next, we apply a biodegradable water-based solution to every roof tile to prevent the regrowth of moss, lichen and algae on your roof. The treatment soaks into the tiles to kill off the growth at spore level before we move on to the final coat.
STEP 5: RENOTEC® ROOF COATING APPLICATION
We apply the colour of coating that you have chosen with our specialist airless spraying equipment to make sure every tile is covered and no area is left untouched. As a ProPERLA Platinum Applicator, you can be sure that the Kingdom Coatings’ team will apply your roof coating to the exacting standards they require and provide you with their 10 year manufacturer’s guarantee.
STEP 6: CLEANING UP
Once your roof coating has been completed, the Kingdom Coatings team will then undertake a complete and thorough clean-up to ensure that we leave your home and garden just the way we found it!
